Yall are crack addicts, why the fuck do you have to be medicated to be happy. You should need nothing at all to be happy except the fact that you're fucking alive. You were just raised in capitalist society so you think you need something to be happy.

“Why do you need medication for your diabetes to live. Just suck it up bro. You should need nothing else to live. Insulin is just capitalist propaganda”

That capitalist propaganda probably made you eat more shit than you needed too which fucked your pancreas up, so yeah you do now need insulin.

You do know people are born with diabetes right?

Very few people are born with diabetes. Congenital or "neonatal diabetes" is extremely rare, affecting roughly 1 in 260,000 to 500,000 babies worldwide.

Cool, the conditions of modern society fucked up someone’s body chemistry so now they need meds. So they should take their damn meds because they need them to live. The same goes for when your brain chemistry is fucked up.

Also bruh type 1 diabetes is very clearly genetically linked. Just because it doesn’t show up when you’re a baby doesn’t mean you didn’t have a genetic reason for getting it.

Id say change your relationship to your environment if you need to be on meds to be okay in moderne society maybe your not the problem that needs treated and it’s not going to kill to be okay with nothing, it actually helps you appreciate things again.

Back in the day people who needed meds just fuckin died. It’s GOOD that we now give people the treatment they need instead of going “yeah hezekiah died of meloncholy” or “oh Ophim got killed by demons”

Look I’m not saying taking antibiotics or something else helpful for few weeks or a month. But like when you start taking like 4 pills a day just to function. You’re no better than an alcoholic or crack head for your liver and body.

I don’t take meds. Because my brain and body chemistry is fine. I don’t need them. But I’ve fucking SEEN anti-depressants save the lives of people I care about. I spend fucking YEARS keeping my ex girlfriend off the ledge and constantly managing her depressive episodes and after literally two weeks on anti-depressants she was suddenly completely fine.

Yeah man it’s just masking the problem, and the thing is she will have to take more over time for it to be effective. And if the side effects get to bad and she needs a break she can’t cause she’ll go through withdrawals and have a mental breakdown just coming off the medication. Unless she tapers.

Long-term daily medication use can burden the liver and kidneys, cause nutrient depletions, and alter metabolism. Taking multiple pills can also trigger a prescribing cascade—where new side effects are mistaken for fresh conditions and treated with more medication.

Her taking some meds is way fucking better than me having to talk her off a bridge at 2 am from halfway across the fucking globe man, Jesus Christ. You know when she was having breakdowns? When she was unmedicated. I tried alternatives for fucking YEARS man. And then the antidepressants worked immediately, like fucking magic.

I’m fine with some liver damage because at least she’s fucking ALIVE. Which she likely wouldn’t be if she didn’t start taking them.

Antidepressants transformed my life. I used to think I wouldn’t be able to move across the country to pursue my dreams because if I did she would die. I used to be afraid to fall asleep because I once did and she almost killed herself before I woke up. I used to get panic attacks if she didn’t text me in the last 24 hours because I wasn’t sure if she was alive. Anti-depressants completely changed my life trajectory and my everyday experience. I will not accept this fucking anti-science bullshit

Well at least yall admit to be crack addicts. I’m kinda a crack addict too, I vape raw weed and hemp flower out of a medical grade vaporizer called a volcano, it’s super clean for the lungs, less hard on your liver cause you bypass the liver partially by inhaling. It helps a lot as well honestly.

You know, you’re right about there being some risks to taking medication. If only there were people whose job it was to recommended certain treatments to help stave off chronic ailments…

They in it for the money though usually and not exactly your health is the main priority. Not saying don’t go to the doctor if you need life saving surgery or antibiotics or dental work obviously there are great treatments and things you can’t do yourself but unfortunately for monetary reasons they are pill happy. So good to be critical.

Do you have the slightest idea how much trouble a medical doctor can get into for knowingly prescribing the wrong medication?
