the hyperloop was literally meant to kill California hispeed rail? He admitted as such to his biographer. He also claimed that he could build one from SF to LA for less than 5% of high speed rails cost. Of course, the hyperloop never materialized…

I said in part. Other parts are Bus/Auto lobbies because they want to keep people reliant on cars
