Our ancestors worked in conditions worse than us, with astronomically less convenience than us for every single essential task of life, while popping babies out left and right, without any of the medicine we have now for illnesses. I get what you mean. And my only pushback is that it should’ve happened about two dozen times in the past decade. If it’s not distraction, it’s diffusing of responsibility as the American populace waits for some great man of history to upend the current status quo.
