we need to stop normalizing the most violent option as the most reasonable option. the law is clear: you should use the least violent method reasonably available to defend yourself. i agree with that standard. murder is the LAST resort.

I know this is about Minnesota but every time I see a cop go for a kill shot I feel exhausted and insane. They go through HOURS of training to avoid that exact situation. You’re telling me they suck so bad at marksmanship that the majority of them can’t accurately hit someone’s leg? Fucking Christ I’m pretty sure I could do that at a higher success rate and my only relevant training is COD

running away? nope, let’s jump to point blank headshots and call it self defense! no!

We should only be seeing kill shots from untrained civilians in high stress situations, like self defense, and in police situations where they’ve exhausted every other non lethal method, or someone has already been killed. No exceptions.

People act like the only form of self defense is murder and it’s so confusing? I have to believe we as people have just been conditioned to think greater violence is the only viable response to a threat (real or falsely perceived)
