Increased cost of electricity, increased noise, use of freshwater, eminent domain acquisition of properties to build infrastructure, and that’s before touching the AI stuff itself that’s just making almost everything it touches worse

You still have eminent domain and energy usage, even closed loop ones can still use ridiculous amounts of water. You also are using gas turbines on a lot of these campuses.

Except that the nuclear reactors create more heat, and the data centers still create heat and still need water, and again, are loud. Like bad loud. Iirc I saw an article that it’s even effecting the health of creatures in the area

This is true, but they still generate nuclear waste and heat. The nuclear waste has to be “disposed of” which really means storing it deep underground, but a big concern is that it could eventually dissolve down and get into groundwater, so ultimately that would have to be a short term solution.
