Khameini was an evil dictator. Fact. He was a theocratic reactionary. Fact. Saddam Hussein was an evil dictator. Fact. The United States killing Saddam Hussein did not benefit the people of Iraq in the long term. Fact. My opposition to the war is not on the basis that Khameini was some sort of saint. My objection is that Khameini’s badness is not why we did it, nor are we showing any regard for the people caught in the middle of this equation. The US never cared about the little people.

I didn’t say I wished he was still alive, I said I’m concerned for the people who will be caught in the middle of this engagement. I know most conservatives are functionally illiterate, but at least give it a shot.
