I would unironically dump my entire life savings, my trading account, and my Roth IRA into a betting market today on Mamdani if Trump ran for a third term and Mamdani became the general pick for Dems. You have zero clue on how effective his image is.

I fear way too many people outside of NYC are still scared of a brown man

It is genuinely such a tragedy that he wasn’t born in America. He’s genuinely the only politician that has made me have any hope in this political system whatsoever. The democrats would never pick him regardless though since they are a right wing party.

And high taxes (that don’t affect them)

That’s if he ran on that. I’m not really a fan of the guy and I’m waiting to see how he’ll do in NYC over the next two years, but his ground game was a disgustingly effective. Trump wouldn’t be able to compete at that level.

As for him being a minority…I’m 70% sure most people wouldn’t care because his attitude and demeanor are what carry him. He’s the nice sympathetic caring guy that would make him hard to levy any racist caricatures against.

To what #1 said, ground game is completely irrelevant. People outside of New York in the Midwest, south, etc see his skin and immediately vote against him

Doesn’t really matter what he runs on. They called Raphael Warnock a radical leftist 💀 they’ll convince Fox News viewers that he’s affiliated with ISIS or something and you know AIPAC will jump in

The south is the south. I disagree about the Midwest. Again, his demeanor is what I personally think out shines any of the possible racism that could be levied. He’s more effective than Sanders could ever be because he doesn’t come across as lecturing or a grouch. This is all implying he’d get past primaries though, which there are safer candidates that will possibly run. My money is still on Ossof

I’m not saying racist shit won’t happen, but I think midwesterners don’t give a shit about that as much as people might think they do. I’m purely judging Mamdani off his character here though, not his potential policy.
