Islamic scholars are responsible for sparking the Renaissance as their works and preserved copies of Ancient Greek and Roman texts made their way to Europe via Spain and Sicily to join the the works of ancient Europe which had been forgotten and ignored. Its borderline disingenuous to primarily credit the Medieval Islamic world for the preservation of Greek and Roman cultural artifacts. A really good equivalent you might be familiar with is crediting America for beating the Nazis while downplaying or neglecting to mention the Soviet Union.
That being said, the Medieval Islamic world did contribute a massive amount of technical knowledge by using, expanding on, and innovating from Greek and Indian artifacts pertaining to math, science, and agricultural practices. The Medieval Islamic world deserves heaps of credit for that. Yet, critically, thats not the same as Greek and Roman cultural artifacts
