What would you recommend to fix the literacy rates in schools right now? And just general education? (Not saying this to be combative but I’m genuinely interested in learning about it)

Honestly im not the most well versed in it but my big 3 are: repealing no child left behind (as I think allowing kids to repeat grades until they understand the material is the best course), encouraging male teachers with women-in-stem-esque programs (as boys have been continually underperforming and maybe male role models would help), and just plain increasing funding and salary for teachers.

That makes sense! Repeating grades definitely seems like a good thing to add back in.
