This election is showing why dems need to put more effort into organizing and building political capital in red states. Like there’s genuine chances of flipping Iowa, Texas, Alaska, and even Nebraska and Kansas.

I’m in a historically red district that might go blue this year…hope has not done me well before, but even just the shift in people being Open to a Not Republican (the democrat is really a moderate, but in my area anyone not PRO TRUMP is a “radical leftist)

It’s just disappointing cause even if they win they’re just gonna do what they always do, which is enact no true progressive policies and suck up to corporate interests, and then 4 years later people are going to rightfully point out that ‘progressivism’ doesn’t work because they never actually enact progressive policy to begin with

There’s also a genuine chance a series meteors will crash through a bunch of windshields. I get what you’re saying but the likelihood of flipping many of these places needs to be calculated as “bang for buck” type allocation. With diminished funding, overextending runs a high risk of unforeseen losses in places previously considered “secure”.

I don’t want to be too hopeful but I’m kind of riding high from last year’s state election in Virginia.

Oh I am too but I’m not surprised. It’s very awkward for them because they’ve always said they can’t enact progressive policy when it reality it’s just that they won’t enact progressive policy. Now that people like him and mamdani are actually enacting/proposing progressive policy that works it’s awkward for establishment dems to get caught in their lie
