Here’s the story. The government has admitted 18 American Troops died in Iran. WaPo has evidence it’s 23. Five. Entire. Human. Beings. Who. Gave. Their. Lives. For. Our. Safety. Have. Been. Erased. That’s more people than my whole family. No words.

“Not all the undisclosed deaths are directly tied to the conflict.” Okay Washington Post reporter who chose that headline knowing people would assume that they were related to the conflict by reading the title alone. 🙄

Also as a contractor it was expected my name would not be recorded by the pentagon if I died in Iraq. I would say I’m not sure why they felt the need to add that to the article, but I would be willing to bet they concluded most people would just look at the numbers and be like “that’s horrible!”

For context. Part of the reason I became a contractor was I was fed up with the pentagon trying to micromanage everything my team and I while I was active duty. I go through all of that so some Washington post reporter could capitalize on my coworkers deaths for political brownie points on a technicality.

You have to read the whole sentence OP. And the whole article these days. You can’t just go by the title then get mad. Or half a sentence. That’s not how sentences work.

I mean I guess you don’t have to but, in order to get all the information, it’s wise to read the whole sentence I suppose.
