It’s true for me. If they were intellectually honest other republicans would acknowledge this is bad and not what we stand for. But it’s hard for anyone to admit they were duped, and a lot of them are just plain racists who don’t care what happens as long as some minorities get hurt.

this is literally what you stand for… i hate to break it to you but this is nothing new, this is what the republican party has been about since the 1950s. the only difference is that they aren’t using euphemisms anymore, they’re opening using nazi slogans. oh and that they’re killing white people, not just minorities. don’t try to whitewash this.

Bullshit. Whats happening now hasn’t happened before. And the civil rights suppression you’re talking about in the 50’s and 60’s has democrat governors in the south, not republicans. I know there’s been some racist shit in the GOP, democrats did racist shit too, but what’s happening now isn’t about race, it’s about petty revenge, grift, and consolidation of power, and we’re all paying for it.

No, they haven’t done the same things but they have held and professed the exact same values. Reagan and his ilk cheered when hundreds of thousands died from AIDS, they called it divine punishment. It is 100% about race when government agencies are posting nazi slogans, when government officials are doling the nazi salute, when they are murdering random, citizens on the street for documenting ethnic cleansing efforts. Regarding your point about segregation… you do know the modern GOP

literally came into being because they decided on a strategy of racism and opposition to civil rights, right? The origins of your part being the conservative one of the two was literally them deciding to abandon black voters and the north, and instead try and win with racist whites in the south.

I don’t think any still actually have it up, the last one that took it down was South Carolina a few years ago and they were run by republicans when they did it.
