I don’t think it’s a surprise the situation we’re in. These two countries are in a gang war. “You killed my grandfather so i’ll kill yours” mentality and now it’s to the point where children are being killed. Numbers matter but at the same time, one innocent child dead is too many.

And no one has stepped in. The US is a bit incapacitated at the moment but no other rich nation is stopping the bloodshed. The death of these children are on all our hands until we elect more capable leadership.

My point is that HAMAS existing is inevitable and won’t go away until their reason for being stops existing. There’s no “punish both sides”, there’s only immediately stoping the conflict Otherwise, there will only be more aggression and this time, it’ll be at whoever “punished” them

We literally saw this post WW1, where Germany was reprimanded heavily and pushed to more radical measures, leading to WW2

Yet at the end of the day we can agree both what the nazis did (despite their reasoning) and despite the killing of innocent children in gaza (despite their reasoning) is wrong.

My point is that reprimanding is what is gonna make Nazis again Populations tend to accept more radical violence the worse their economy is, and Palestine will already be suffering.

…So you think we should just let things play out like we did with the second WW? Or do you think we should be harsh enough on the people killing kids so it doesn’t become another WW? I think we should help the people that want to be helped.

I think we should demand a ceasefire first and foremost, and then we can decide what occurs. In which Israel will break that ceasefire, as they are prone to do, and there will be then clear justification to “reprimand” Israel. Or arrest Netanyahu because he is a legit war criminal

Idk. I just feel like anyone that killed innocent children should be held accountable. No matter what clan they belong to. I would love to see the leaders of both parties be seen as war criminals

It’s like how I think Americans that killed innocent kids in WW2 should’ve been held accountable. Even though technically they were on the right side, killing innocent german kids wasn’t right

I’d agree with you if we lived in a world where the current leaders were actually competent. I don’t disagree with your optimism I just don’t think it’s an actual realistic solution given how personally involved many leaders are. Unless there’s a benefit to ending the war, I don’t see many other powerful countries upholding a punishment for the country that breaks the ceasefire (we know who)
