i have an HSA with a HDHP and it’s great when you’re rarely sick. but it would be totally awful if i had a chronic illness or cancer or major surgery. and the GOP wants HSA *without* deductible or out of pocket maximum??? no thanks

Also I’ve heard it might actually be an FSA, which expires at the end of every year

yeah like im healthy now so its great. But when i was a teenager i had scoliosis that required regular treatment, culminating in major surgery and physical therapy. but my folks had a good PPO, so we paid very little luckily a HDHP - or god forbid JUST an FSA without insurance - would have wiped us out.

or more likely, i just wouldn’t have had treatment. I would be permanently physically deformed with compromised lung function
