Conservatives when a category 70 hurricane hits their shithole Louisianan hometown of 13,000 people in 2063 and wipes out all they’ve ever known (they didn’t care to prevent climate change from getting worse):

I actively refuse to use Amazon unless absolutely necessary. About 90% of the stuff I own is used or fixed up. When you learn how to sew, repair, or retrofit stuff, it saves A LOT of money

Who hurt you? Don’t you realize that many people in the south just want to live their life in peace? Just like any other place, there are many great people down here. We look out for each other and just take life a little slower down in the south!

Cry. People look out for each other all over the country, you’re not special. And “taking life a little slower” is your problem, not the worlds. Get with the times. You call this being calloused, I call it not having a fucking anchor holding us back as a society

If that’s actually true, mad respect. But for the vast majority of so called climate activists that I’ve met… u get the point

We are not holding y’all back at all. Just stay in your own lane and choose to stay in the north if you like it so much. You know progress is a balancing act. Get too resistant to change and your society decays but change too fast and society will have growing pains adapting. If you fully read my comment, you would have seen the part where I said “just like any other place”

Climate activists are a double edge sword. They are the evangelicals of the left in the way where some of them turn more people away than they convince

Oh yeah, I believe in walking the walk and not just talking the talk. Dw Nothing drives me crazier than when “activists” will “just order one small thing” off of Amazon and it’s something they could’ve gotten other ways. The only really new things I order are either stuff you don’t want used (meds, underwear, etc) or from smaller companies that ik operate ethically. Ig the only real major thing im contributing towards negatively is my car, but there’s like no public transport in my area so….

Buddy, red states take more money than blue states bc they’re ran like shit. You’re literally being propped up bc of the people you hate

Kinda hard to avoid that one, so my car it is 💀 But I do what I can! And without patting myself on the back too hard, I think I do more than 90% or so called activists

That’s just federal welfare money that can go to anyone though. The south may have some problems but that doesn’t mean we need to abandon every aspect of our culture. The northeast is near ground zero for the affordability crisis in this country right now. I’m only pointing fingers because people there act like they are so perfect all the time compared to the south and they need to realize that EVERYWHERE has problems

Yeah it’s expensive up there bc nobody wants to live in the south with how shitty everything is. Use your brain and ask maybe WHY there is an affordability crisis, because they don’t just appear out of nowhere You act like I’ve never been to the south. I have. And statistically we can see how awful things are. Educational outcomes, addiction care , less crime per capita, healthcare, and so much else are just objectively better in a lot of “elite liberal” areas

And yeah, no area is perfect, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t better areas. I have a lot of complaints about liberals, but the good ones are at least somewhat addressing the issues. The “good” conservatives are all weirdo freaks who run on making trans internment camps or some shit
