He LOST the democratic primary and then was appointed to a position by a REPUBLICAN. There’s plenty of anti-vax liberals and progressives but not in politics, and in the last few years being anti-vax has become part of the Republican platform

Okay now this is making me feel like it’s bait because calling Trump upstanding and saying he doesn’t take bribes is astounding. But Republican opposition to science and vaccines is widespread and started well before RFK Jr was in the political picture. For example, Trump and his followers pushing Covid cures with insufficient evidence like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin

And you have state level politicians across red states pushing for reduced vaccine requirements in schools and for vaccine exemptions for anyone who is religious and doesn’t feel like getting vaccinated. This I think can be pointed to as part of a broader Republican opposition to scientific consensus, most strongly exemplified by climate change denial.
