I mean I remember when mfs were mad that the Wolfenstein games, which have always been based in an alternate reality where the Nazis won, and have always been about an underground resistance trying to overthrow the Nazis, made an ad about killing Nazis. That literally happened.

Honestly? I’m glad Ubisoft didn’t release that ac game, cuz I want another studio to do it lol. I want that style of ac done right and with enough storytelling and gameplay elements that hit home the realities of that time, done with absolutely no regard for the average Twitter user’s shitass opinions rn
