So in the progressive caucus, there’s been a concept now for at least a few years called “the rotating villain” of the Democratic Party. Basically that the party is a hole from the top down, has mandated the strategy of general capitulation, and the method by which they carry it out is to have a few dissenting individuals who are in either entirely safe districts and or nearing retirement

I came here to say this. Voting these people out will do nothing. They are not traitors. They did what their party asked them to. If you vote them out, the next vote will still fail by 2 or 3 votes because the democratic party will make sure of it. There will be new "traitors". They basically draw straws to see who has to be the asshole.
