im left and i agree you can’t pin it on the whole left but also this is something i’ve seen people on the left do in regards to a lot of human rights issues that don’t originate in white supremacy. i had a college professor who was very left wing and taught us that the IRGC’s oppression of women and lgbtq people were just valid expressions of a different culture’s norms and American media sensationalized it out of islamophobia

Well for one you implied that my reaction was somehow bad optically for the left. Which is silly for multiple reasons, one, like 100 people know who I am max. I am not creating any real optical impact for the left. And two. By all standards of our communication, you don’t have any fucking issues with my argument, or what I’m actually saying.
