As a self-described conservative, I believe in publicly-funded and -provided services. I don’t know why everyone has an economics boner nowadays. I, personally, hate all economists and economic advisors

I don’t really understand how people turned against the stuff which actively made our economy thrive. Like I would say it’s all corporate propaganda but even corporations benefit from government infrastructure and education systems.

It's kind of like how people tried to argue that the 2nd amendment was referring to military service, I know that they're only tacitly engaging with the text and it's meaning, but they'll still happily call themselves Marxist, quote theory, etc. If you want to argue that they are ideologically different than the true Marxists must do more to differentiate themselves

Leftists are famous for infighting, and this is for good reason. My personal belief is that being in favor of gun control is against the spirit of Marxism. What i mean by this is, the ideology is concerned with addressing the root material causes for our ills. While those in favor of gun control try to decrease the symptoms of violence, addressing the root cause of the violence (improving the people’s material conditions) seems more in line with leftist thought
