Why do you think we’re running out of water? The water on Earth today is essentially the same water that’s been here since the age of the dinosaurs. Almost no water leaves Earth during the water cycle. It constantly evaporates, condenses, falls back as precipitation, and is naturally filtered and recycled over and over again.
