rent control is about protecting current renters who are being exploited by landlords. If you want more housing fix zoning laws and counter NIMBYs

It is undeniably true rent control protects current renters, however this largely comes at the cost of new renters. Secondly, I also couldn’t agree more! Zoning and a lot of building regs should be nuked from orbit, also LVT anyone?
