President Trump has signed into law a statute jailing flag burners I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the First Amendment literally only applies to “speech” which is Latin for “words.” Hence, if words aren’t involved, the action is not protected

That’s great except the Supreme Court ruled that “speech” does actually cover actions like flag burning. And it doesn’t take a genius to see that the Founding Fathers also meant actions taken in protest.
