Not exactly. Independents can be anything. They just choose not to affiliate with either party, not bc they’re in between but bc they don’t like either party

Actually a lot of independents are further right than republicans or further left than democrats or just don’t like labels but are definitely not centrist

Independents are the types of people to vote for Democrats because they prefer smaller state interference in regard to marijuana douching laws. Don’t ask for me or anyone else to make sense of an Independent voters logic, they don’t know their own.

I know a lot of people that identify as independents and vote for both parties depending on the candidate, issues they’re focusing on, etc.
Obviously my experience isn’t indicative of broader realities but I have to assume it extends elsewhere.
