Thoughts on reforming SCOTUS judges to serve for 36 years each? It would shake out so that each justice would serve until they’re replaced and each president would get 1 appointee. (9x4=36) If someone resigns or dies, their replacement would finish term.

The issue with SCOTUS isn’t really the lifetime appointment, it’s the fact that their power is entirely unchallengable.

Practically yes, but an amendment could be passed at any point and change the constitution
