genuine question if anyone knows: we're gonna see a mass exodus of h1b workers probably -- but a lot of these workers probably got education in the us, and have student loans. where did the loans come from for international students?

You actually do see lots of mortgages and loans being taken out by H1-B workers. Lots of Indian families(this is my personal experience) do have mortgages and car loans and even student loans in the US. They will simply not pay if theyre deported lol. Like yeah that will cut you off from future US opportunities but if Trump is actually serious then youd be stupid to pay for stuff you can only benefit from after 4 years

Most international students on H1Bs usually have their parents pay.
