People loooove using hot button topics as a thin veneer to justify their hatred and bigotry. BLM? ugh look at how violent those black people are!! (Even tho a lot of the time there were white supremacists there intentionally escalating the protests). Covid? Take it out on every Asian person you see, throw acid in their face! Yeah!
