I’m sure you’re right about that. The official statement is that they can’t release everything yet to protect survivors. I bet that’s true for maybe 10% of the files they’re not releasing.

This is very true, but let’s also remember a lot of unreleased content will be relating to victim safety, not just hiding specific affluent figures’ involvement. The situation is bad, but to think every choice is pure evil is disingenuous too. Don’t give anyone the benefit of the doubt, but do take everything with a grain of salt.

Yeah ofc but let’s be real, that’s not the only reason for why and how there being so weird about just being normal and releasing everything with the victims safety in mind

I’d never even begin to pretend it is the only reason. Like I said, grain of salt, not benefit of the doubt. If we go in assuming every redaction is the name of a predator, and scream for it to be released, beg people to go in and try to find the unredacted information, whistleblowers to leak info, hackers to release images and footage, we aren’t bringing justice to those who did harm. We’re putting victims directly into danger. So unfortunately, we have to play this silly game to ensure safety

AND I HATE IT AND ITS DUMB but id much rather have Donny T and his buddies redacted if it means victims are kept safe (we don’t need the files to know of his crimes anyway)
