This isn’t true. I’ve seen a lot of arguments that point to a near 50% tax rate at a salary of 200k. For a computer science majors like me that’s a reasonable salary in my lifetime.

The highest tax bracket right now federally is only 37% on income over about 750K. And 50% on 200K doesn’t mean 100K in taxes. When will y’all understand how tax brackets work?

The poor response is you responding about the rich as if 200K puts you anywhere in the realm of being “the rich.” At 200K a year it will take you 5000 years to be someone people think should pay way more in taxes. You’re good buddy
