I’m a white person but the idea of being “proud of my whiteness” is a bit weird to me. Like what does it even mean for me to be proud of my race? It’s not like I can associate with some “white struggle” or “white culture.” My family almost entirely came from Ireland and they weren’t treated as white when they got here. Why should I be proud of that?
