I am a tall, broad woman with a deep voice. I am currently boymoding, and have no intention of presenting as a woman in public. This means that I can speak on some of the experiences women and queer people go through while still being taken seriously in society. In many indigenous cultures (to be clear, I am white and would never describe myself as two-spirit or anything like that), people in third gender categories are often valued because they can serve as ambassadors between men and women

And if there is a time when such an ambassador was needed, it’s now. Men and women live profoundly different lives, have increasingly different (almost mutually incompatible) belief systems, and profoundly resent each other. I feel like I can try to serve as a bridge in a deeply divided world

If Lily Tino is the first person you think of when you think of trans women, I highly encourage you to learn about more of them. This isn’t me scolding you or anything, the media/politicians/whoever else deliberately hides us from the rest of society and we also have a tendency to keep to ourselves anyway.
