it’s literally both, guys… the discrimination of any minority group is part of the reason why people stay poor bc the government was built on being discriminatory. ex. medical racism should be called out in EVERY form in a practice or hospital, yet it continues to be pervasive due to medical racism being some of the founding educational concepts within medical schools & have not been addressed NOR will they be in the near future due to lack of gov’t fucks to give.
I think both are extremely important but i think it is reasonable to say that class is more important and should be prioritized as compared tackling bigotry discrimination and or social issues. Not to say you can’t do both at the same time i just think that the fact that the rich leaders that control us seem to almost always sex traffic children is a more pressing concern because if you want social issues to change you have to negotiate with rich pedophiles to make that happen.
Talking about racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia/etc is not why the poor stay poor but telling ppl to shut up and stop talking about their experiences of discrimination is why bigotry gets to grow stronger. But good job on the very substantive not at all simple minded reductionist response.
Wow you really don’t listen to marginalized ppl if you think what you just said is happening in reality. You’re pulling the right wing “attack helicopter” bull shit with your first point and to act like queer ppl don’t talk about poverty is straight up bull shit when so many live in poverty. You are making shit up for no reason other than to tell marginalized ppl to “stay in their place” you care about marginalized ppl as much as the top 1% do.
