YIMBYS, famously… republicans?
People just realized they didn’t wanna live in a liberal hellscape that averages 98 in the summer where homeless will ask you for money every block 😂

Austin is famously liberal . A bunch of people moved to Austin in the 2010s but now they’re all fleeing.

All population centers are famously liberal dude. Once a city gets big enough, it just leans left naturally. It’s isolation and mental illness that creates conservatism.

Right, but if you look at Austin compared to more populated cities in Texas like Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio It is more liberal than all of them

More liberal sure, but every major city leans left.

Is famously a blue city A lot of that is UT historically at least. Nowadays, it’s probably because of Californians.

All cities are famously blue cities if they have enough people.

Fort Worth is actually purple, leaning towards red. Guess who voted for Donald Trump in the past election💜 Yes, of course cities are blue, but Austin is bluer than other Texas cities. That is why people are moving to DFW and not Austin nowadays. Check your stats.

Fort Worth is literally the 11th biggest city in the US and voted for Trump in 2024. It’s bigger than Seattle, Boston, DC, San Francisco, and Detroit.

They don’t care about Fort Worth specifically but they care about DFW DFW is purple in general. Dallas has a republican mayor and they vote red mostly except for presidential election elections.

Apparently, a lot of people do because they keep moving here and they keep fleeing Austin and other liberal cities because it’s a hell scape

“People keep FLEEING Austin and moving too Fort Worth” Okay then Fort Worth will go from purple to blue. I’m so scared of all the people fleeing Texas to go to a slightly different part of Texas. This is surely a sign of the times

All right well if you want to ignore my points that’s fine Just to be clear, people really aren’t fleeing Austin- it’s still growing just way smaller than it was. A lot of people are stuck because of upside down mortgages because their house property fell so even if they sold they’d be in debt

It’s so funny that you’re talking about “nobody cares about DFW” when it’s literally bigger than Houston, Miami, DC, Atlanta, Philly, Phoenix, Boston, San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Denver metro areas

Being big doesn’t make it important. And if you’re right, and more people are moving there, then it will go blue eventually. That’s just how it works. Hell, Texas itself is really a purple state, if you get rid of all the voter suppression.
