I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that the state who voted for a blackface wearing governor, a lieutenant governor who killed his wife, and an AG who threatened to kill kids would vote to disenfranchise their own citizens. Virginia is for criminals

What did I say that was a lie? The former governor wore blackface, the former lieutenant governor just killed his wife (and also raped women) and the ag fantasizes about dead kids? All of those things are 100% true

Now tell me how all of those Virginia stories were exaggerated or false. Backup your claims with evidence, not deflections

And those awful texts from Jones was withheld for 3 years (Aug. 2022-Oct. 25), if Republicans were that concerned they should’ve released them before the Dem AG primary

You have a point there, but obviously no one ended up caring about that. Why would ppl care about the texts?

Because your side always claims to be so much better than ours. But at every possible opportunity, you disprove that. Both sides are full of selfish assholes. But at the very least, Republicans admit it

Nah Dems have tried to play the high ground before (heck my state voted FOR an independent commission back in 2020)

The Ralph Northam stuff is unfortunately not a lie. It’s well documented. But it surfaced in 2019. He was elected in 2017

Maryland is fine at the congressional level (the latest attempt to redraw the lines failed), but the 2022 maps literally favor republicans in the state legislature lol

It surfaced a few weeks after he was elected and he refused calls to step down. Because he’s a Democrat so it was okay

Maryland is most definitely not fine. The 6th district could be made swing or red leaning. And what about the other states I mentioned?

Explain what’s wrong with Maryland. I don’t know enough atm to assess what happened in the other states. NM does seem odd and it sounds like there’s a lawsuit about it. There are very few districts there though, so it’s much more evident on a statewide level if even one district is drawn poorly

Maryland’s 6th District encompasses all of the western panhandle, which is more similar to West Virginia than other parts of Maryland. But stretches into the DC suburbs just enough to keep it consistently D+6-10
