Honestly, all I want is common sense legislation that helps all of us. Funding scientific research, humane border security, committing to green energy policies, funding schools and raising teacher pay, and universal healthcare are normal ideas to me.
People be so excited to spew their narrative they forget the other person is literally a human None of this political theater means anything if you choose not to play the game

Common sense gun laws are also important – universal background checks and red flag laws in all 50 states would make this country a far safer place. With universal healthcare, every ultra-modern nation has it except the U.S. – it’s quite normal, as healthcare is a human right. I’d rather more tax dollars go to fund a system like that than funding the pockets of the ultra-rich.

If anyone wants to have a conversation about this, keep it civil and be reasonable. I want us to be able to find solutions, as opposed to starting more problems, which happens far too much in American politics today.

Teacher pay is too high as it is

Many teachers have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Teachers are the ones trying to help make our future brighter, as they are the one teaching future workers and leaders. Anyone, let alone teachers should be able to make enough money on one salary to live comfortably and have some extra money to spend on themselves.

What do you disagree with? I think most people would agree with me that teacher pay should be increased. Also, is it unreasonable to say that people should be allowed to live on one salary comfortably with money leftover for themselves? Respectfully, you gotta give more than “Disagree” for an initial response if you’re gonna dispute something.

I disagree with your idea that teachers should be paid more

For what reason? All I know is that you think teachers shouldn’t get paid more.

Because they make too much already

How much do you think a teacher makes? Honestly?

More than they should

Give me a number, do you think teachers make $30k a year? $50k? $80k? $100k?

What would you define as “too much”? We both know that grocery prices, utility bills, and housing costs are going up, while inflation will always be a thing. How would you go about making sure that teacher pay is clearly not below the cost of living?

I define too much as more than they should get

Got it, so you’re just a troll with nothing to add to the conversation. Thanks for clearing that up.

Specifying would really help your argument, as you’re not giving anything other than, essentially, “because I said so”.
