Dems campaigning on affordability is simply hilarious when their states are the most unaffordable to live in. They do nothing but expand welfare knowing it entraps people who have to remain dependent on them and thus keep voting them in.

Dems are campaigning on affordability because the GOP has miserably failed in affordability

I live in south Oklahoma and now gas prices are as high as blue states. We have none of the social services they do and rank near the bottom with almost everything

In terms of welfare, if we had better programs nationally it wouldn’t fall on states and people would be more likely to get out. Problems have to do (not limited to) with there not being appropriate support for people with disabilities, universal healthcare, and rehabilitation for prisoners. Disability benefits cap earning potential making people reliant on other benefits and limit attempts to return to work–

So you haven’t seen PNW or CA costs of living lately?

Oh and we have no GDP. The thing carrying any GDP for red states is oil in Texas, and New Yorkers in Florida

That’s why Dems hate oil, it contributes positively to red states economies

Higher costs because •Better to live in than any Red State. •Good public services (transport, healthcare, accessibility, ect.) •More entertainment •Higher costs due to people actually wanting to live there and also better paying jobs and more opportunities.

A future without fossil fuels isn’t optional it’s mandatory. Peak oil is coming in 2030. China is already making the transition they are leaps and bounds ahead of us with solar and EVs

So charging $2k/rent a month for a studio is fine as long as it happens in a blue state?

You mean higher taxes for more welfare becahse of unaffordability and endless politician grift. Why else would Newsom veto a bill that calls for an audit of how those funds are used.

Assembly bill 799 and previous budget bills covered the exact same parameters of the Bill 2309. Do you want to continue?

In simpler words, it’s just duplicative and unnecessary.

Well there’s plenty of it here yet it doesn’t make a dent in how affordable it is. It only drives landlords away.

Oh no not the poor landlords! What ever will they do without being able to make an extra $500 off of peoples’ need to live?! 😱

They aren’t going away, even if you demand socialized housing then it’s just the government who becomes a landlord. And they aren’t a business so they don’t have a profit margin to compete for which gives them less reason to give a shit. I know leftists think economics is fake which is why explaining this is a waste of time.

lack of healthcare access enables people to accumulate debt and end up on the street as well as get sick from preventable illness or controllable illness and end up on welfare or the street, and people who leave prison for minor offenses have criminal records, unable to land jobs, houses, and it creates a vicious cycle.
