Wait, wait, wait, you’re telling me my boyfriend’s $750,000 childhood home of 5 beds 3.5 baths is MIDDLE class? I thought he grew up rich. I grew up in a single wide trailer with 2 FUNCTIONING bathrooms if I was lucky

Yeah that’s pretty standard for back in the day. That house now is likely at LEAST one and a half mil

It was $250,000 when they bought it. It’s about $750-$800,000 now

baby, you just live in a poor state. Or a poor area. You could both be considered middle class to some extent, you’re just on opposite ends of the spectrum. I used to think so too, until you see real wealthy places like in Florida, California, New York, Texas. That’s just the class disparity

Some of the houses I’ve seen in Texas are actually insane. My parents have got a pretty modest place for where they’re staying (still a nice neighborhood) but go 20 min down the road and you run into actual mansions and castles

I live in a pretty common 500K 3 bedroom 2bath one story house that we inherited, across the street is a trailer park and a block down the road a 5mil dollar mansion, all in Alabama 🫪 like wtaf? And kids used to thing I was rich, but my dad made less than their parents combined. It’s about resources, access and the community. In LA there’s 6mil dollar luxury TRAILERS, in trailer parks!! Blows my fucking mind
