because deportation will never, and has never, been a cost-effective or efficient solution to the problem. there NEEDS to be legal pathways to citizenship. there NEEDS to be immigration reform. you can’t just keep closing doors.

So what’s your alternative? The millions of immigrants who entered the country illegally and would have been deported just the same under Clinton or Obama get amnesty?

Sure there may need to be immigration reform, but there is still a legal pathway to citizenship and you can’t just waltz in either.

There 100% has to be legal pathways to citizenship once you are in the country, yes. Until that changes, you will continue to waste billions of dollars on deportation efforts.

Explain it to me then. In detail. And no one said anything about not having border control at all. I’m talking about billions of dollars spent to deport non-violent people, paying taxes, already inside.
