My dad makes this much now with his own business post retirement and living in bumfuck Ohio he can afford a modest 3 bedroom home, a pontoon boat, and one vacation a year at most. Last time I checked that shouldn’t be considered rich, that’s just how everyone should be able to live on a much lower salary with proper budgeting.

For real. The hot topic yesterday or two days ago was living in Europe for X amount of money vs living in America for a lot more money. Like Europeans didn’t just en masses spend a whole month off of work to visit America for a Soccer tournament while most Americans were very much still working

Funny enough (not actually), I really should’ve gone to a doctor today because I woke up to a very bloody eye with no idea how it happened, but I decided against it and went to work anyway because it probably costs too much, I don’t want to spend PTO, and I’m not actively dying. That decision was made even with pretty good insurance and a $50k salary 😐
