What is the republican solution to mass shootings? Obviously they don't want more gun laws (and many want easier access to guns), but they also don't give a shit about access to mental healthcare.

Hi, as a Republican the issue of mass shootings is an extremely sensitive topic. The only solution that seems viable at this point is to give all $7.01 trillion of our federal budget to Israel.

On a real note their logic genuinely is Mass shootings didn’t happen this much when i was a kid > make life the way it was when i was a kid > erase conditions that led to mass shootings > no more mass shootings They don’t understand media exposure bias, the fact anyone that wasn’t considered normal was either a shut in or institutionalized, and instead think “I hear about the gays and immigrants now when I didn’t as a kid so clearly it’s their fault”

They’ll just continue to address the symptoms instead of the actual illness. More armed security guards, installing metal detectors, having teachers and staff bring in their own firearms, swapping regular doors for bulletproof ones, telling parents to buy reinforced backpacks for their kids.

Like it wouldn’t surprise me if some states mandate most of these things before they pass any kind of gun legislation
