Bad sample size but I agree it’s scary how many people believe in made up shit. I think it’s just a problem with democracy tho. If you want the majority to pick policy then the majority will impose their will on everyone else.

May get flamed for this but like. I enjoy the many opportunities here in America. I get to enjoy freedoms that I wouldn’t get otherwise. Maybe I’m forgetting something but I’m pretty sure people can believe what they want to and research whatever they want and aren’t limited to believing what they want. I’m speaking as someone who doesn’t really lean left or right

I never said that I think people shouldn’t be allowed to believe in such things. It’s still your right to believe there are angels. But that doesn’t make it true there are actually angels

Also most people are dumb and can’t really think so letting the public vote will always backfire sometimes. It’s better than tyranny tho
