Is there a single instance in history (maybe with the exceptions of Japan and West Germany post-WW2) where US induced regime change actually made things better long-term for the people of that country

Grenada is the main example I can think of. It’s actually similar in some ways to this in that it was an illegal invasion met with international outrage that overthrew a socialist dictatorship. However, it was a tiny island that had experienced a recent socialist coup, and neighboring Caribbean states assisted in peacekeeping.
