2 things can be true Bad Bunny is an American citizen, and some people on the far right are overreacting to him being the halftime performer. Respectfully believing that the performer at the SB should be one who sings in English is entirely fair.

I promise you’ll survive a little Spanish at the Super Bowl. It’s really not that big of a deal

But I think people need to understand that the NFL’s primary objective is to make money. The American market is saturated atp. They’re going for the international market now. It’s only reasonable that they get the top global artist on Spotify to perform. And controversy sells too

it’s virtue signaling on the part of the nfl

its more of them wanting to expand just like the away games in other countries which isnt inherently bad but it can be overly done at times

The vast majority of the NFL’s audience doesn’t speak any Cameroonian languages either. Those are in Waka Waka

Mfs are acting like they’re being forced to watch it at gunpoint 😭 just use it as an opportunity to go to the bathroom and get more food if you’re not interested

Literally like you don’t have to watch it. You’re allowed to get off the couch to do something and come back in ten minutes

A few years ago when Maroon 5 played the halftime show I just went “oh I’m going to go fold my laundry” bc I’m not a fan. It’s really not that deep

Dedicating a small portion of the show to honoring another culture or language is totally fine, great even. Having the entire show be in Spanish during the biggest American production of the year is strange and disappointing.

Then don’t watch it. Go jerk off or something. Jesus Christ you’re so fragile

Bro I’m not pissing my pants about it 😭. You can say the American halftime show should be in English without melting down or watching the kid rock halftime. There’s nuance to everything, OP hit the nail on the head.
