I was home schooled for pretty sane reasons and it worked out well for my family (I’m in law school and my siblings are all successful in their respective industries working for some of the best companies in TX). I agree with this take wholeheartedly.

I’ve gotten in pretty heated arguments over homeschooling with dipshit family members. Half the people who want to do that shit do it because “the public education system is such poor quality and it sucks and every kid has problems now” and it never fails…they talk about how they voted Republican lol.

And then their children end up doing 4 hours of Christian workbook “curriculum” on their own because their parents actually have no desire teach & more notably, have no desire to learn the subjects they’d be “teaching” to their children. And think sending em to a co-op will address that horrendous shortcoming.
