If you can give up owning a new car its 4m, at 50k/year (median wage) for two people thats 4m over a working life.

I’m guessing it means if you buy a new car every year, and then trade it in the next year. Works out to $15,000 depreciation each year for 60 years. I heard stephen jobs leased a new Mercedes every 6mo, so he could legally drive without license plates
