The same people who call me “privileged” for voting third party are fine with killing brown people overseas for meager benefits at home. I bet that cognitive dissonance is KILLING y’all

what’s the point of voting for a hopeless candidate tho i just literally don’t understand, especially when it is likely to have the unintended effect of electing the absolute worst option

The point is that you do not owe anyone or any party a vote. Votes are earned. Representatives should be accountable to the people.

because at least their moral conscience is clean while ICE gets $100B in funding

Budget increases happening under Kamala anyway, she campaigned on hiring thousands more agents

She didn’t campaign on going door to door demanding citizenship and you know that. ICE was not going to get its budget multiplied by 10 under her.

And I’m not even talking about her. I’m talking about Bob Casey’s race. Which he would’ve won if people didn’t vote for the Green Party candidate like clowns. That would have caused the OBBBA to fail.

Here in VA, our newly-elected Dem governor already reversed the previous GOP gov’s exec order requiring the state police to work with ICE. It’s a good start and better than what we had before. Voting counts when you do it

Moreover, we’ll have an attorney general who’ll stand up to Trump and is as we speak looking into which lawsuits to join. He got to work so fast he didn’t even change the official letterhead 😂

Yeah, I voted in the local elections and on local bills. Just their party for prez. I’m skeptical that one extra dude would’ve stopped OBBBA

Would’ve made the road harder at least. Same goes for some of these appointments (ex: hegseth, rfk jr)
