Are synthetics also made from crude oil? Genuinely don’t know I just figured if it’s good enough for a car which literally houses explosions it’ll be good enough for computers

Synthetics aren’t made from crude but they’re more expensive to make than drilling and refining, plus only some cars use them and only a few liters per car
