Fair enough but I’ve been alive for 7 presidential elections and Kamala had the worst percentage of total votes of any democrat in that time frame. Also I’d argue that you only should really look at presidential elections from the past 20-30 years when looking for voting trends…like I don’t think Dukakis getting 51% or Clinton getting 49% in a three way race has anything to do with what’s happening rn 😭

but it’s not uncommon. Most presidential elections are close. and we can’t downplay misogyny, racism, voter suppression, and the environment that exist for her first run. And a shit ton of democrat voters didn’t vote, and a shit ton of rural NYers came out to vote when they usually don’t.
