If your gonna discuss stats it's in good practice to at least look at the entire picture. Like I said you clearly see a spike in the last year that was no present the other 4. Can you explain why we didn't see an increase until the last year and a half when antivax movement really picked up. Why in 2021-22 we see such low rates but yet our "country was being flooded with immigrants"

I wonder if an unregulated and unrestricted flow of people from 3rd world countries had anything to do with this hmmmm

the measles was literally considered eradicated lmao. But noooooo right wing politicians like RFK jr had to push anti vax conspiracies

i would’ve kept everything open. deaths from covid were over calculated. you could’ve died in a car accident and if u had covid, even if you were asymptomatic and it had nothing to do with u dying, u were considered a covid death

over calculated or not, people were dying, we distanced, less people died, we vaccinated, even less people died. cry about it. you’re the same people who claim biology disproves the existence of trans people. fucking anti-science weirdos.

No you’re just genuinely a statistic for poor education in the U.S. 😭 Even if it was over calculated that disease was fucking rampant and so many people died. I KNOW so many people who died and still have problems to this day because of COVID even I have problems breathing still sometimes because of it and was perfectly healthy prior. Also saying we hate you for disagreeing is stupid, I can think that you aren’t smarter than a fifth grader and not hate you. Funny how that works.

No probably the rise in antivax movement directly correlated to rjk jr. Explain why we didn't have these massive spikes in bidens presidency. (If that's too hard for your peanut brain it's because you can't becuase global vax % has been steady at around 85% for 10 years). But go ahead and blame others for the shitty job your president is doing

It’s always immigrants with you all. Immigrants from “3rd world countries” vaccinate and inoculate for more diseases than we do. It isn’t them. It’s the MAHA dunces who refuse to vaccinate and get surprised when their rockstar gets the mumps, measles, or chicken pox.

If you deny any correlation then you just don’t care about the solution. It’s disingenuous and idiotic to claim otherwise. Both are factors, but in a country where it was eradicated, it’s more than plausible to infer that importing people from 3rd world countries would contribute to the problem

Enjoy the source. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/vaccination-rates-by-country You’ll still continue to be in denial anyways. You’re part of the problem why problem don’t get solutions. Because you only want solutions that are pretty on paper and agree with your politics

Yeah so answer the original question. Why didn't we these spikes under Biden when he notoriously let all these immigrants in. Why did the spike show up so much later and directly when trump took office? Your arguing something that's not even relevant lil bro

I don't think you know how stats work brodie. But since you're so smart explain why those rates had such a lagged effect and didn't show changes at all with all the immigrants during bidens but started growing specifically when trump took office. You have yet to do that and you side step it every time

ITS BEEN LESS THAN 1 YEAR SINCE TRUMP TOOK OFFICE. THE INCREASE IS FROM 2020 when BIDEN TOOK OFFICE. How much louder does it need to be said????? 14,000% increase SINCE 2020. It does not mean increase from 2024-2025. It means FROM 2020

My brother in Christ. Reported cases compound over time the more you bring in at-risk people. Where is the logic? How is it that you can have a problem with unvaccinated Americans, but somehow unvaccinated immigrants pose no risk at all? Only Americans are capable of spreading disease in America? Is that a special science I haven’t heard of?

Notice how measles cases also went up every single year of Biden’s presidency? And how we had record illegal numbers in 2023 and 2024?

You're saying they compound while the data very clearly shows they do not. I ofc have a problem with people not vaxed but I have a bigger problem with labeling immigrants as the problems (going against facts of high global vaccination rates) because it's racist. The majority of our immigrants come from countries with comparable vax rates (Mexico China India) but yet somehow you still believe Somalians are responsible (even tho the spikes are in predominantly low vax rate cities in USA)

Measles didn't increase every year under Biden read the graph broski. Very clearly shows a decrease in 22-23

We’re talking about contributing factors here. At the end of the day 1.5k is still a small number in a country of 335M people. It doesn’t matter if “most immigrants” come from a highly vaccinated country when a significant number still come from lower ones. It is idiotic to focus 100% on one contributing factor if there is a second one starting you in the face that you refuse to do nothing about. The problem doesn’t get solved that way

If the US vaccination rate was 100%, you’d STILL get cases if you were letting in people who weren’t!!!

You're straight up the one doing that by assigning blame to immigrants. Can I ask why an almost 80% white country in Texas, Gaines, had a measles outbreak. If you want to blame immigrants the majority of those are Mexican (and data shows Mexico with the same vax rates as us). Yet vax rates in this country as extremely low. I don't think there's a lot of Somalians living in west Texas

It’s not blaming immigrants by pointing out they are contributing to the problem. Declining vaccinations rates in the US are ALSO an issue. Only one of us is claiming there’s a singular issue here!!!

You used Somalia because it fits your agenda. Like I said vast majority of immigrants are from high vax rate countries. You choose Somalia because it's one of the few lower ones (and probably because it's trending in the news).

But please explain the Gaines country situation. Little immigrants but massive spikes. But yet the rest of the USA didn't see those spikes but saw the mass immigration

We’re at all time highs in illegal immigration at a time where complacency is rising globally against measles. And somehow that’s not a concern at all. I used Somalia because someone claimed 3rd world countries have the same if not better vaccination rates. Which was false. It does NOT take a significant amount of US immigration numbers to cause a spike in measles rates

It seems a bit strange that despite the significant decrease in legal and illegal immigration since Trump took office that we’re still seeing a drastic increase in measles cases.

Correct, I used it because it’s a recent example under scrutiny. Does that somehow make it that there aren’t Somalian illegal immigrants? No, they’re still here. And nothing we are saying is universal. I’ll once again stress that only you are assigning universal blame. I am saying we have 2 big contributing factors that must be solved together to solve the bigger issue. And only solving one does NOTHING
