Sure but he clearly wasn’t a nobody either. It just feels like the “an important person” part is meant to distinguish between random people killing each other over politics/religion as opposed to purposefully killing someone notable with the intent to gain notoriety or spread fear

I think it means important as in widespread influence which Charlie Kirk had widespread influence
